A major bank declared IMS Gateway as its enterprise message hub after moving its role up from being a message hub that careered only to Payments messages for a short period of time. The service was originally deployed for facilitating a fast implementation of some of the payment modules. However, the bank’s operations, technology and various business groups recognized the value of IMS Gateway at the enterprise level and streamlined all data-traffic through the Gateway service. Data recognition, categorization, validation, Compliance check, duplicate check, storage and subscription became a reality for the bank. The sored data became source for data governance, data analysis and reporting.
